Business Forms / Dot Matrix
Business forms are usually printed by a dot-matrix printer also known as tractor feed printing. NCR paper (no carbon required) is used where upon impact (golf ball shaped “typeball” containing numbers & letters) the carbon would react showing a copy through on the inner sheets, the top sheet was printed using a ribbon. Impact printer brands include Oki, Genicom, Epson, Lexmark, Printronix and Tally, cartridge ribbons print onto the top sheet in those printers.
